LV Panel & CPR (UETTDRRF06B & HLTAID001) Perform rescue from a live LV panel and HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation skills set.Overview

This course requires students to successfully complete 2 units of competency. Student must successfully meet all criteria for both units to be deemed competent in LVR Panel & CPR. Please refer to course information located under tabs for each of the individual units for details regarding the units listed below:

  • Perform rescue from a live LV Panel UETTDRRF06B  and
  • Provide  cardiopulmonary resuscitation HLTAID001

Target audience:

Those who are required to provide an emergency first aid response in a workplace. We provide participants with the knowledge and skill to perform a rescue in a low voltage emergency.

Designed for trades people or maintenance people that work in the vicinity of switchboards using Low Voltage Control Circuits.

About This Course

Initial Course duration:

Physical requirements

Please note that there are often physical standards which relate to the level and extent of physical performance required when undertaking accredited training.

  1. Physical ability for each course, (Reasonable adjustment mandates that for first aid, all participants MUST be able to perform all scenarios as written without any adjustment for physical infirmity, See specific instructions from the Industry Skills Council on our ability to modify the assessment to meet the needs of those with special needs, this is often called “Reasonable Adjustment” specifically, we have been advised in the HLT First Aid Guide Version 2 March 2018, ( available from )

Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LNN)

In order to meet competency for this unit, you will be required to meet the minimum LLN requirements of the Training Package.

A parental/guardian consent must be obtained for any student under the age of 18 to be able to participate in this course.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

Topics covered:
  • Safe use of the LVR rescue kit
  • Inspection and placement of rescue equipment
  • Assessing and controlling hazards to rescuer, victim and others
  • Isolation procedures where appropriate
  • Safe Approach Distances (SAD’s) appropriate to rescue from a live LV panel
  • Involvement of external emergency services
  • Practical demonstration of rescuing a person
  • Removing victim to safe location / place of safety
  • Perform CPR procedures in line with ARC requirement
